Scholarship applications are considered yearly. All applications must be received online by 11:59 PM on the deadline date.

HCF scholarships support students attending trade schools, two or four-year accredited colleges, and those pursuing diverse career paths, including construction management, healthcare, aviation, education, and agriculture.

Our scholarships cover a wide variety of career goals including agriculture, aviation, business, construction management, dentistry, education, engineering, food and nutrition, healthcare, journalism, law, religion, sciences, textile and design, veterinary, wildlife conservation, etc.

Request your TWO references early in the process and check back often to confirm they have submitted their reference. If they have not, and the deadline is nearing, you may choose another reference to send a request too or we encourage you to reach out again to your reference.
Your personal essay is a very important part of the scholarship application. Please be thorough in your essay and DO NOT include your name or information that will identify you.
Be sure to include all other scholarships that you have been awarded outside of HCF scholarships.
Several scholarships favor extra-curricular involvement such as sports, band & 4-H versus only focusing on academic performance

All 2025 high school graduates or alumni who did not apply the previous year will need to create a new account for the scholarship application. If you applied last year, you can log in to your account to apply this year.
If awarded a scholarship, checks will be sent to your school the beginning of August and will be split between the Fall and Spring semester.
Upload a high-resolution professional headshot. This can be obtained from your photographer upon request. This photo will be included in the newspaper announcement.
List BOTH parents. This information is included in the newspaper announcement.
Provide your personal email (NOT your school email). Some correspondence regarding scholarships will occur after graduation.
Provide your UNWEIGHTED GPA. This MUST match the GPA on your attached transcript and should not exceed a 4.0.
Provide your HIGHEST ACT score. This MUST match the transcript you upload with your application. (Be sure to upload an updated transcript if you have a more recent ACT score.)
