Katie Mitchell was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to Aurora in 2018 after several years in Lemoore, California, while her husband served in the Navy. She and her husband, Brett, chose to make Aurora home to be near his family and the strong sense of community here. Katie serves as the Scholarship Coordinator at the Hamilton Community Foundation, a role she has enjoyed since November 2024. She is also a member of Women in Philanthropy and previously served on the Foundation’s Fine Arts Committee for four years. In addition, Katie is active in her church through various committees and service projects. She enjoys running her Airbnb, collecting vintage treasures, traveling, and spending time with her husband, their two children, and their pets. Katie believes in the power of philanthropy to strengthen and uplift communities and is proud to support that mission through her work with HCF.
