Howard Eloe created the William and Delight Eloe Award for Inspirational Academic Leadership in honor of his parents to recognize an outstanding staff in the Aurora Public School District.

William and Delight Eloe Award for Inspirational Academic Leadership

The Hamilton Community Foundation is honored to offer the William C. and Delight M. Eloe Award for Inspirational Academic Leadership.

The family of William and Delight Eloe established this award in 2010 to recognize a teacher or administrator in the Aurora Public School system.  

The $1,500 award is presented to an Aurora Public Schools teacher or administrator who demonstrates inspirational academic leadership; exceptional classroom teaching effectiveness; administrative professionalism; professional growth; and/or excellent public relations with students, parents, peers, alumni, and other constituents.

Nominations may be submitted by students, parents, colleagues, and other community members.

Nominations are accepted February 1 to March 15th each year. Forms are available online at hcfne.org or in person at the Hamilton Community Foundation or Aurora Public Schools Superintendent’s Office.

The recipient is recognized at the annual Aurora Public School Teachers Luncheon each May.

2023 Recipient of the William and Delight Eloe Award for Inspirational Academic Leadership

Hamilton Community Foundation honored Haley Sigler for being selected to receive the 2023 William and Delight Eloe Award for Inspirational Academic Leadership!

Haley has worked at Aurora Public Schools for 13 years as the Title 1 Teacher at Aurora Elementary School. She helps develop academic and behavior plans and is an MTSS Leader. Haley has been instrumental in developing the reading intervention program and coordinates summer camps. The Eloe award was presented to Haley at the annual faculty appreciation lunch held May 18, 2023.Congratulations, Haley!
